Annual Diocesan Red Mass

The St. Thomas More Society of the Diocese of Dallas annually sponsors a Red Mass celebrated in honor of the Holy Spirit as the source of wisdom, understanding, counsel, and fortitude – gifts that shine forth preeminently in the dispensing of justice in the courtroom as well as in the individual lawyer’s office. It also offers prayers for all men and women in the legal profession, judiciary, and public life, asking that they be blessed with wisdom and understanding. Bishop Kevin Farrell will celebrate the Mass with guest homilist Bishop Richard Malone of the Diocese of Buffalo. All members of the legal profession are welcome at the Red Mass, regardless of religious affiliation. Following Mass is a dinner/reception at the Petroleum Club.
The St. Thomas More Society is open to Catholic attorneys and others interested in the intersection of faith and law. Its purpose is to encourage Catholic lawyers within the Diocese of Dallas to live a Christian vocation by sanctifying their daily work.
