Texas Catholic Pro-Life Day in Austin

On Jan. 23, Catholics from across the state join together to stand in solidarity to promote a Culture of Life at Texas Catholic Pro-Life Day. The day will begin with a prayer vigil at 7 a.m. to end abortion at 201 E. Ben White Blvd. Everyone will proceed to St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Austin to pray the rosary at 9:15 a.m. followed by Mass celebrated at 10 a.m. by Bishop Joe Vásquez. After Mass, lunch will be at the Parish Activity Center for $5 per plate. 

At 1:00 p.m., all those participating n the March for Life will gather at 18th & N. Congress Ave. for the march to the south steps of the State Capitol Building where the Texas Rally for Life will be held from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. A Ministry Fair will also take place at 18th Street and Congress beginning at 12 noon. From 3:30 to 5:30 is the Party for Life at the University Catholic Center, 2010 University Ave., Austin 78705, hosted by the Catholic Longhorns for Life and the Office of Pro-Life Activities. All are invited to join us for food, fun, and friendship.

Buses are available at the southeast corner of the Capitol bus stop and at St. Vincent de Paul Church for a round trip fee of $5. Bus tickets, lunch tickets, and T-shirts may be ordered online at centraltexasprolife.org.
