Fortnight for Freedom Patriotic Rosary

Sunday, June 28, 2015 1:15 PM - 3:00 PM
Location(s): St. Joseph Richardson 600 S. Jupiter Rd, Richardson, TX 75081

To mark the annual Fortnight for Freedom, St. Joseph in Richardson is hosting its fourth annual Patriotic Rosary in the sanctuary immediately following 12:15 p.m. Mass. The Fortnight which spans June 21 through July 4 is a parish-based observance supported by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops to encourage prayer for the continued blessings of liberty in America while mindful of the many threats to religious liberty throughout the world.

The Patriotic Rosary consists of five decades of the Sorrowful Mysteries, remembering those who died defending our country and all the babies lost to abortion since Roe vs Wade in 1973. Each of the fifty Hail Mary's is said for one of our fifty states. Knights and Squires from St. Joseph KC Council 8954 will do readings from the Founding Fathers and the congregation will sing patriotic songs. After the rosary, light refreshments will be served in the Forum. Everyone is welcome.
