33rd Annual National Night of Prayer for Life
This National Night of Prayer encourages Eucharistic Adoration from 9:00 p.m. on December 8 (Thursday) to 1:00 a.m. on December 9 (Friday), uniting the Feast of the Immaculate Conception and the Feast of St. Juan Diego. It was on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception (then celebrated on December 9) that Our Lady of Guadalupe, patroness of the Americas and the unborn, first appeared to St. Juan Diego.
The National Night of Prayer for Life bridges these two feasts to honor Our Blessed Mother and urges prayer through her intercession for the establishment of a Culture of Life, protection for the Church from persecution, and revival of our land.
During the 11:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. hour, parishes in all times zones in the United States will be praying together in the “hour of unity.”
