Finding Calcutta in Dallas: A Service Project @ Mary Immaculate
Location(s): Mary Immaculate, Farmers Branch
“Find your own Calcutta. Find the sick, the suffering, and the lonely, right where you are — in your own homes and in your own families, in homes and in your workplaces and in your schools. You can find Calcutta all over the world, if you have eyes to see.” – Mother Teresa
For Lent this year, please consider joining a half day of service in the spirit of Mother Teresa. The day begins with Mass at 8 a.m., followed by fellowship and breakfast, and then volunteering, such as helping at the Missionaries of Charity shelter, giving company to the sick and elderly, or feeding the homeless. This is a family-friendly event, so feel free to bring your kids along, and teach them to do the Corporal Works of Mercy from a young age.
Please RSVP at www.projectfindingcalcutta.com, so the organizers can let the places of service know how many people to expect. Like Mother Teresa said, “let us do something beautiful for God.”
