Image and presentation on Our Lady of Guadalupe
Location(s): St. Peter the Apostle Church, 2907 Woodall Rodgers Fwy. Dallas, TX 75204
Join us for a presentation on the meaning of the symbols on the image of Our Lady of Guadalupe at St. Peter the Apostle Church after the 7 p.m. mass.
Come and learn about the meaning of the different symbols on her dress and cloak. Her apparition on December 12th, 1531 brought more than 9 million Indians into the Catholic Church.
They knew she came from heaven because of the color or her cloak. They also knew she was more powerful than the gods they worshiped because she stood in front of the sun and stepped on the (crescent) moon. Most importantly, they knew she was pregnant (the dark brown ribbon tied around her waist) with The One True GOD!
They understood so many things because Our Lady spoke to them through the image she left…
During the presentation, an image of Our Lady of Guadalupe that was blessed by St. John Paul II will be present. This image is a digital copy that was touched to the original in Mexico City, therefore it’s considered a relic.
After the talk please join us in the cafeteria for Q&A as well as food and refreshments. For more information please contact Ingrid Meyer at
