Provide a Lunch for our gems class

Volunteer Description: Gabriel Education Ministry & Support (GEMS) extends the ministry of Gabriel Outreach by offering mothers opportunities to learn more about themselves, their Christian faith, and being better parents through life skill classes. The program helps women take their place in the larger world of work and service and supports their continued education with scholarship awards. 

 

What We Need:

• Main Dish and Dessert:

  • Examples of Ready-to-Eat Hot Meals:

    • Rotisserie chicken with sides
    • Pasta dishes
    • Casseroles (pre-cooked - we will provide chaffing dishes)
       

  • Examples of Cold Ready-to-Eat Meals:

    • Fresh salads
    • Sandwich platters

We will provide paper products, utensils, and drinks. 

More Ways Volunteers Can Help or Donate:

• Ordering Catering: Coordinate with local catering services for delivery to our location.
• Pizza Delivery: Arrange for pizza delivery to our office.
• Gift Cards: Provide gift cards to local restaurants or grocery stores, allowing us to purchase and prepare the meals ourselves.

 

When? This class is offered the first Saturday of each month. We usually have 20 - 35 people in attendance who will need to be fed. Final count will be provided Wednesday prior. You are welcome to help us serve the food or can just drop it off. Dates and times of classes will be provided upon registration.
