GEMS extends the ministry of Project Gabriel by offering mothers unique opportunities for personal growth. Through life skill classes, we empower women to explore their identities, deepen their Christian faith, and become better parents. Our program goes beyond education, helping women take their place in the wider world of work and service. Additionally, we support their ongoing education through scholarship awards.

Join Us in Volunteering to Make a Difference

Volunteer Description: As a volunteer driver, your role is crucial. You'll be responsible for transporting mothers to and from their GEMS classes, ensuring they have reliable transportation to access this valuable resource. Additionally, there may be occasions where your assistance is needed to accompany mothers to doctor's appointments, our office, or local grocery stores.

We understand the demands of daily life, which is why we'll pair you with a mother closest to your location, making it convenient for you to make a meaningful difference in someone's life.

By dedicating your time and care, you enable these mothers to focus on their personal development and education, creating an environment where learning and growth flourish. Together, we can make a lasting and positive impact on the lives of both mothers and their children.

 

When?  Our GEMS classes are offered on the first Saturday of the month. A volunteer driver would need to have their GEMs Mom at class by 10:30 a.m. and pick her up by 2:00 p.m. You do not need to stay for the entirety of the class, however, we are also looking for volunteers to assist with daycare during this time.
