Candidate Forums

Flag_with_Microphone.jpg"A candidate forum can be an excellent format for educating voters about the candidates . . . and is a valuable way of encouraging civic participation and helping voters learn about the candidates and the issues. "(www.faithfulcitizenship.org)

Where do the candidates stand on the issues?  This is a common election year question and one of the ways in which we attempt to address it this year is with a Candidate Forum.

A Candidate Forum gives us the opportunity to bring the candidates for any and all offices together and ask them a series of questions about issues that concern the Church.  In the forums, issues from abortion to euthanasia, immigration to  education and everything in between will be covered.

The first Candidate Forum was held on Sunday, October 19th at St. Anthony Church in Wylie.

Seven candidates from different districts spoke at the Forum.

The entire forum was captured on video and will be uploaded to this section of the web site.

Look here for these video presentations.
